I've had this site up for quite some time, but never told anyone. If a website is up but no one knows it exists, does it really? Its an old story, perfectionism getting the best of your work and holding it hostage so it never sees the light of day. Eventually you grow tired of explaining that your creations "aren't ready yet" or are "almost perfect" and you finally release it all into the wild. In this case its my website, with all my work so far and with the resources to connect and write about my photography experiences. Ultimately my work is ever changing and growing as am I. Next week I may realize I hate the layout and change it (as I have in the past) or decide to delete all of the current photos and turn it into a dedicated site for goats....which is completely okay.
Letting go of the idea that things will be perfect is the kindest thing a creative person can do for themselves and others. In reality all beauty and art is about perception, not perfection which means I can publish this site, tell you about it, and enjoy this wild ride.
